ANL has partnered with Digi; a content provider; to offer our customers more entertainment services such as live streaming of TV channels, Movies, Music and Karaoke on Demand.
ABOUT ROLE: The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for providing exceptional technical support and service in the field by ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of the outside plant (Distribution, Access, and Drop Layer). This maximizes uptime and customer satisfaction through prompt, professional, and knowledgeable assistance. The FST is required to comply with documented processes and procedures and is responsible for connecting customers to the network. This includes troubleshooting, complaint handling and repair/replacement of access lines and CPE’s.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma with 3 years' relevant work experience as an Operations Service Technician /Field Service Technician OR certification in related field.
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field
- Any internationally recognized Fiber optic certification such as CFOT, CFOS/T/S etc.
- Experience with OSP tools/techniques such as OPM, OTDR, VFL and mechanical/ fusion splicing.
- Knowledge of fixed broadband and mobile networks.
- Knowledge of wireless principles and concepts including signal to noise, signal strengths, line of sight.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Service Operations
- Field engineering and delivery of new fixed access connection to residential and business customers.
- Repair/replace access lines and CPE’s.
- Responsible for installing network equipment, including routers, switches, antennas, and cabling, according to specifications and standards.
- Ensure proper configuration and integration of network components to establish connectivity and functionality.
- Respond to service requests promptly and efficiently to complete appointments with customers.
- Execute repairs, replacements, or adjustments to resolve issues and restore equipment functionality.
Network Operations
- Maintenance of the outside plant infrastructure, both preventative and upgrades/optimizations to the network.
- Installation/configuration of CPE following ANL’s standards for wireless technology.
Operational Processes
- Investigate and resolve trouble tickets.
- Replacement of passive layer network elements, splicing of fiber or any other repair in the fiber.
- Coordinate incident and problem management with Customer Service and Dispatching
- Execute preventive maintenance per customer.

Customer Focus
- Provide training to customers about system usage and maintenance.
- Engage Customer in Services and products currently being offered by the company.

- Knowledgeable of ANL products and services.
- Adhering to ANL’s current demarcation policy and owning the customer experience with regards to fault management.
